We didn’t have anything until 12:30 today so we got to sleep in a little bit again – I love this schedule! Went shopping for flat boots for Taylor but we still couldn’t find the perfect ones. It was such a beautiful day – sunny, warm, and no clouds! It felt like Spring J I hear it’s supposed to be even nicer tomorrow then back to rainy and cold. Headed to the meeting and gave our PowerPoint presentations. They were really informal but I think ours was ok. Headed back for a delicious lunch, but first I checked my mail and I had a package of Valentine’s candy from Mom – yay!! I’m trying to stash it and make it last as long as I can but I doubt that will last long… Back to school for our last orientation classes. In the culture/vocab class with Susana we talked about ham for at least twenty minutes and I was about to vomit. I hate ham but even worse I hate thinking about how it’s made, stored, processed, served, all the different types, etc. Sick. After we were done she looked at me and asked if I was feeling ok! Then we had a meeting with Verónica about our trip to Madrid which is in two days and we finally got some details about when we’re leaving, what we’re doing, and where we’re staying. I think it’s going to be a really fun trip and I can’t wait to see Madrid! After scarfing down my sandwich during our 5 minute break, we started our session with Aurelio about Flamenco. We learned all about the history and saw some video clips which were interesting but I think everyone just wanted to get out of there. Came back and Julia was out for tapas with her friend J She’s hardly every leaves the house so we were excited for her. So we left soon after with Mitch to meet up with Cassandra, Christine, and Whitney. We went to a cute little tapas place then Hannigan’s. It was so Americanized, it was really bizarre - everyone was speaking English. The best part was that it was karaoke night and the songs they played were sooooo old school. (I’m blue dah ba dee dah ba dyyyye, Discovery Channel song, 80’s Madonna, Sheryl Crow, etc.) It was a fun night!
