After being in bed for almost 12 hours, I finally got out and got ready. When we woke up it was snowing outside. Rosana told our class today that it was the craziest/worst winter they’ve had since 1971. We were planning on going to Barcelona next week but plans have changed since the weather in the north of Spain is what I would describe as ridiculous. They’ve never had a cyclone (I’ve heard it also referred to as a hurricane and a tornado so we’re not really sure what’s going on) in Spain and this has resulted in forest fires, 5 deaths, and constant pictures and coverage on the news. We had breakfast then did a little shopping. We put money on our phones, got more calling cards, Taylor got some socks (I didn’t find any yet, and my feet stink) then we did some damage at Zara. I got four shirts and she got a bunch of stuff. I can’t wait to wear it tomorrow! I’ve already worn my black sweater two days in a row… Came back for lunch, then called airport and they couldn’t tell me anything. Again. Went to class which was fine, I was a little down about the whole luggage thing but whatever. Afterward my group got together and we ventured out to find Casa de Porras for a project. We went through some pretty shady streets but somehow stumbled upon it. We got our information then headed home. I stopped by Corte Inglés and bought a pair of jeans. They’re not my absolute favorite but they fit, they were reasonably priced, and I am in desperate need. Had dinner, did some homework, then I was missing Rob a lot so I just had to call him. We talked for a little bit but I couldn’t use too much time but it was great to catch up quick and hear his voice. It was right before bed here but I forgot about the time difference and said, “good night!” but it’s just after lunch for him there.. Hombre, this is hard to get used to. Tomorrow is going to be a long day … In class we learned a way to say that you’re exhausted and when I tried to use it in context tonight I accidently said, “hecha pavo” (I’m made of turkey) instead of “hecha polvo” (I’ve turned to dust). Guess I am tired!
