Went to Plaza Nueva around 10:30 to sign up for the Arab baths but found out that the student discount was only good Monday-Thursday :( Hopefully we'll get to do it next week. Anyway, walked straight uphill to the Alhambra to meet Salvador and our class. We went through all the same stuff as last time but it was still just as cool. We got a little different information and it wasn't raining this time! We wandered through for a while afterwards and ate our bocadillos in the Generalife then came back downhill to Plaza Nueva. We got some DELICIOUS ice cream and wandered toward the cathedral. Taylor bought some Arabic poetry paintings while I was harrassed by a gypsie trying to give me rosemary then we walked through the little moroccan shops. We finally got back home after about 8 1/2 hours of walking which we didn't think anything of until we sat down! Hombre, if I walked that long in the US I'd be complaining and exhausted! We relaxed a bit, did some reading and I took a shower then had a big dinner. A while later we met up with some friends and went to a teteria - something I'd definitely never experienced. It was a cute little moroccan tea/hookah place with really dim lighting, Arabic music, and silk draperies hung from the ceilings and walls. It was just really relaxed and I'm not a big tea drinker or hookah-smoker but we had a good time watching the other people around us and I had a "shake" (milk with strawberry mix..). Ate my first real schwarma on the way home and it was surprisingly delicious! I found a good place and ordered it just how i wanted it, waaay better, but I still couldn´t eat a whole one to save my life...
