Woke up early and caught the 10 to the bus station. We thought we´d have plenty of time but, surprise! the line was a million miles long. Mitch and Taylor got in the short line to use the kiosk and I jumped in the long one. Since we´re foreigners the machine won´t take our credit cards and by the time we got to the front of the long line, it was one minute too late to catch the 11:00 bus to Salobreña. Ugh. The next one was´t until 1:00 so we killed a couple hours by "shopping" by the bus station - aka the shadiest part of any city. We wandered around looking ridiculously American in our flip flops and beach get-up but finally were on our way to the playa by 1:00. The ride was only an hour but it was a long walk from the bus station to the shore and when we got there it was filled with half-naked lovebirds. It´s true that there´s no lack of PDA and topless beaches in Spain! Anyway, the beach was really calm and beautiful and I was just happy to be there :) We even got to play a little frisbee! On our way back we saw the craziest botellón I´ve ever seen (well, the only one unless you count the entire city of Cádiz) next to Hípercor. It was for the Fiesta de la Primavera - apparently the first day of Spring is a HUGE deal. Got back and Julia was already out for the night with her friends so our lukewarm dinner was in the toaster oven which was tastier than I thought it would be. (Sidenote - it´s absolutely disgusting how much I eat here. I´m always hungry and there seems to be no sortage of bread and french fries at dinnertime..) We didn´t think twice about going to the botellón, just opted for a couple tapas instead. Finally we made it to Rinconcillo and Bar Bruselas, these two cute places right by our place. Called it a night pretty early because Córdoba is in the morning!
